Three Signature Practices

At empowerED Pathways, we offer workshops, seminars and leadership coaching focused around mindfulness and social & emotional learning.  Our work is grounded in neuroscience and promoted through the following three signature practices:

  • Practices that celebrate common humanity, normalize suffering, and break the walls of indignity and shame that isolate us (ex: community-building circles).
  • Practices that build awareness and equanimity (ex: mindfulness).
  • Practices that build compassion towards self and others (ex: resiliency and self-compassion).

The following are the current offerings available to districts, schools, and educational communities. Contact us for more information on pricing and availability.

ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT workshops

Moving beyond our biology to advance humanity

A 75-minute workshop which addresses the primal instincts and automated “survival skills” of our human biology that lead to harm, and introduces mindfulness as way to notice our automated thoughts and reactions.  This workshop focuses on how mindfulness can disrupt the explicit and implicit biases (race, religion, gender, orientation and economic and political differences as well) that divide us and offers an opportunity for living with greater peace through the cultivation of nonjudgmental attitudes and the flexible mind.

Shifting from “I am” to “I can”

A 75-minute workshop detailing how to use mindfulness to develop and deploy the mindsets and neural pathways of increased intrinsic motivation and resilience to adversity.

Connection Over Consequences

A 75-minute workshop presenting the notion that we can use mindfulness to interpret conflict as a “challenge” rather than a “threat” and ways to respond in suit.  This workshop also examines how, overtime, mindfulness can also prevent conflicts - and explores the neuroscience behind this transformation.

A Time of Great Opportunity AND Vulnerability            (Adolescent Brain Development)

A 75-minute workshop which details the unique neurological development during adolescence (age 12-25) and ways to navigate this period to develop mindsets and habits of peace and resilience that can last throughout one's lifetime. This workshop also describes how mindfulness can accelerate these mindsets of opportunity.

Mindfulness-Based Self Care

This 75-minute workshop provides a powerful approach to working with our daily physical, emotional and psychological stress through cultivating a nonjudgmental awareness of our moment-to-moment experience.
