Three Signature Pathways

At empowerED Pathways, we offer workshops, seminars and leadership coaching focused around mindfulness and social & emotional learning.  Our work is grounded in neuroscience and promoted through the following three signature athways. Each pathway involves specific practices:

  • Practices that celebrate common humanity, and break the walls of indignity

  • Practices that build awareness and equanimity

  • Practices that build kindness and compassion towards self and others

Three day and five day workshops for schools & organizations

We offer an experiential, engaging and inspiring seminar which provides content in mindfulness, Social & Emotional Learning and brain literacy.  Participants will leave empowered with the content knowledge and systematic know-how to begin the implementation process transforming their schools and communities.

Mindful Living 101 for Adults

This series consists of three 1-hour long sessions focusing on bringing attention to the breath, physical sensations, thoughts, and feelings through a variety of simple techniques that can easily be woven into even the busiest of schedules. Currently only available in Central Texas. 

8-week Mindful Living Course for Adults

Dig deeper into the fundamentals of mindfulness. In this 8- week, one hour session series, participants will gain an understanding of what mindfulness is, the mind-body connection and response to stress, and strategies to live with more resilience and ease. Each week we will focus on a different mindful quality and practice, including mindful eating, mindful breathing, and mindful movement.

Courses for Children & Youth

Currently only available throughout Central Texas.

We work with youth to maximize this developmental period in their lives by introducing mindfulness as a means of self-empowerment. Currently, these serial classes are only available in Central Texas. 

Mindful Living 101 for youth and young adults (Ages 12-25)

This 90 minute session  focuses on bringing attention to the breath, physical sensations, thoughts and feelings through a variety of simple, developmentally appropriate techniques. This session can also be presented in two 45 minute sessions or three 30 minute sessions.

8-week Mindful Living Course for preteens              (ages 9-11)

Dig deeper into the fundamentals of mindfulness. In this 8-week (30 minute sessions) students will gain an understanding of what mindfulness is, the mind-body connection and response to stress, and strategies to live with more resilience and ease. Each week we will focus on a different mindful quality and developmentally appropriate practice, including mindful eating, mindful breathing, and mindful movement. This series helps children to:

  • Understand how neurological development can impact the ways they respond to stressors,

  • Explore ways to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives,

  • Establish habits of mind linked to a hopeful future.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens

Mindfulness is an anchor for youth to turn to when they feel emotionally dysregulated, stressed, anxious, or unhappy.  In this 16-week course, adolescents will learn balanced approaches to reacting to life’s stress. This course will help teens:

  • Move from feeling powerless to feeling a sense of agency and control,

  • Decrease reactivity and impulsivity,

  • Shift from negative judgments and perceptions to non-judging with the use of mindful qualities,

  • Increase positive coping strategies and decrease self-harming thinking and behaviors,

  • Increase health and well-being.
